Am Lit: Students completed reading comprehension questions for chapters 9-11. For tomorrow, students should read chapters 12-16. Huck and Jim's adventure down the Mississippi River begins!
MoC: Students received new vocabulary words for week two. Remember the lists are accessible through the wiki link on the left side of this page. Began to go over parts of speech and inserting specific adjectives into sentences. Tomorrow is a work day in the lab. Remember Wednesday, Sept. 15th is your rough draft date to submit your writing.
English 1: Assigned Adjective Wksht and "The One Who Watches" for homework. This during-reading reading strategy requires students to record on a notecard: one question, one passage, and three other notes (comments, character or plot development, conflict, or connections).
Boys: We read the first essay from the Guys Read collection of essays. We went over the adjective worksheet and assigned "Matoa's Mirror" for tomorrow. Complete the during-reading strategy of active reading notes.
