Am Lit: Discussed blog #1 (10 pts) as a whole class before completing a quiz on chapters 5-7 (6 pts). In small groups students completed discussion questions focused on comprehension, analysis, and interpretation. Students will have 5 minutes in the beginning of class to discuss their discussion responses- questions should be completed for tomorrow and chapter 8 should be read.
MoC: I assigned a Norman Rockwell picture for students to write a descriptive paragraph capturing the moment in words. Paragraph to be used tomorrow in class.
English 1: Discussed the double entry journal for Bad Influence. The journal was collected (10 pts). Students then participated in a reading strategy - Say Something - for the short story Beauty Lessons. The short story should be finished for tomorrow.
Boys: Discussed the double entry journal for Bad Influence. The journal was collected (10 pts). Students then used an in-class pre-reading strategy prior to engaging in the short story - Catch the Moon (Due tomorrow).
